The Ten Stages is designed as a free flowing study course with a start and a finish point that gives balance and timing

“live-and-let-live” philosophy -- one of “being with,” not “doing to.” The Stages is designed as a free flowing study course with a start and a finish point that gives balance and timing, whilst avoiding forcing or pressuring anyone to do anything. By conventional standards, one could argue that Stages is not really even “treatment,” per se, rather, a study program which gets out of people’s way and gives them the respect and freedom to go through their own process on their own, albeit with the emotional support of our guides. Stages views recovery as a crisis or emergency that is laden with meaning, and that people can derive value from their crisis while enjoying the company of a community of respectful, caring, intuitive others. This is no small challenge and is a learning experience for everyone. With gains and losses felt by all as a joint process of study and renewal. It becomes at first gentle deconstruction of a hidden world of frightening childhood survival in your own time.
