If the study in the stages fulfils its goals, our struggle for autonomy will not be difficult. It will be organic and natural. We do not want to stay a hidden child forever – and all the more so if we are nurtured properly into our recovery. Adult autonomy is the goal of all of us, and if we at the Stages meet our responsibilities we will achieve it.
